Laboratory research on MOF nonlinear optical crystals and fabrication techniques
Laboratory research on MOF nonlinear optical crystals and fabrication techniques

Resources

Our research showcases compelling experimental and theoretical validation of SHG and SPDC processes in metal-organic frameworks. This includes:

Our MOF Optical Crystals

Our custom-made nonlinear crystals are based on MOFs: We design them, grow them and characterise them.

Why using MOFs for optics?

Imagen secundaria

Traditional nonlinear crystals such as KTP, BBO, and LN have reached their performance limits, showing constraints in damage thresholds, effective SHG nonlinear coefficients across key wavelengths, and overall thermal and mechanical stability.

We design and develop next-generation nonlinear optical crystals based on metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), a breakthrough class of materials that overcome the limitations of conventional crystals like KDP, KTP, BBO, and LN. Our MOF-based crystals combine exceptional stability, high resistance to optical damage, and tunable optical properties with an energy-efficient and cost-effective manufacturing process—positioning them to transform the future of photonics.

We are actively seeking new technical validation partners. If you are exploring advanced nonlinear optical solutions, reach out to discuss how our MOF-based crystals can elevate your project.

Our MIRO-101 crystal product is the first MOF nonlinear crystal tested for efficient frequency conversion and electro-optic modulation
